Spiteful August is an independent fragrance house based in Orihuela Costa, Spain. Founded in 2025 by partners Scott Wolf and Ryan Fox, the studio composes, blends, and hand-pours every bottle in small, deliberate batches. Each fragrance is built by self-taught perfumer Scott Wolf around tension rather than technical perfection — the deliberate coexistence of opposing emotional states. What began as a love for the unusual grew into a hands-on laboratory in Orihuela Costa, where every bottle is composed, blended, and poured in small batches by self-taught perfumer Scott Wolf.
Wolf's approach to perfumery is built around tension, atmosphere, and psychological transformation rather than technical perfection. He works instinctively, allowing opposing emotional states — clean and dirty, warm and cold, airy and intimate — to coexist aggressively in the same bottle. The result is a body of work designed to imprint rather than to flatter.
The studio launched its first three Extraits de Parfum on 29 June 2026: Cárda (green cardamom, juicy pear, bourbon vanilla), Bohemia (dark patchouli, coconut milk, hot Spanish musk), and Coya (green mandarin, soft musks, radiant woods). A 5ml discovery set, The August Collective, includes a redemption code worth €40 off the buyer's first full bottle.
Spiteful August previously operated under the name FOX & WOLF, which was awarded "Best Luxury Candles in Spain" in 2021. The fragrance line marks the studio's evolution from home fragrance into fine perfumery.
